Hand sappies are used wherever wood is picked up, lifted, stacked or turned. For example, when splitting firewood, when it comes to picking up the split wood and transporting it to the pile. A sappie not only saves energy, it also relieves strain on the back in an ergonomic way. These useful helpers act like an extended arm. Once the sharp tip of the sappie has been driven into the wood, the split timber can be lifted without straining the back.
